Bethany College first-year students are welcomed through the Oglebay Gates on campus Thursday as part of their matriculation ceremony. The students walked through the gates and up to Commencement Hall located at the end of Old Main. Students will not pass back through the Oglebay Gates again until graduation. The class of 2026 matriculation concluded with the tradition, which dates back to the late 1800s, of each new student signing the Bethany College Book of Matriculation.
