My Mining Tee is “dedicated to encouraging and supporting mining and trades engagement within our local schools,” the business said in a release. “As part of our current campaign, Sudbury Mining Camp, we are committing to putting 120 copies of Underground! My Mining Adventure into the hands of Sudbury children at local elementary schools. ”
Written by local mining engineer Theresa Nyabeze, the book not only aims to introduce youth to mining but affirms that there is room for all types of people in mining.
For every Sudbury Mining Camp T-shirt sold, one book goes into the hands of a student.
“At the same time, we are equipping teachers, librarians, and principals with the resources that are critical for promoting educational success and the tools to stimulate young people’s interest in minerals industry careers,” the company said.
“By supporting this campaign through the purchase of a Sudbury Mining Camp Tee, you will be helping in directly transforming the lives of local children by inspiring in them an awareness of our mining community.”
