We are currently seeking a Principal Consultant (Sector Strategy) to join our growing team and lead the development of a series of sector-based Net Zero pathways. The Role

As the Principal Consultant (Sector Strategy), you will lead the delivery of sector-based Net Zero pathways across key sectors alongside alongside driving the development and creation of key services. As part of this role, you will be expected to:

    • Support the creation of solutions and strategic propositions to deliver Net Zero / Sustainability
    • Identify innovation and efficiency gains within services, to continuously improve the service offering for our customers
    • Developing templates / processes to take a live service
    • Develop insight on internal and external trends to support our service strategy
  • Anticipate emerging issues through research and discussions with sectors and decide how best to deal with them
    • Effectively manage partner / collaborative stakeholders through coordination of meetings and calls
    • Conduct workshops and deliver training with key stakeholders
    • Prepare appropriate processes, standards and guidance
  • Contribute to the delivery of our internal initiatives towards the growth, sustainability, culture, knowledge sharing and aims of the business

  • Manage your projects in line with timetable project management, quality standards and project budgets, as well as your performance against KPIs

  • Act as a catalyst for change and support our ambition to support 1 in 100 people to go Net Zero, by being curious, focused and innovative.

Experience & Qualifications required

Essential Experience

  • Carbon Footprinting

  • Net Zero Strategy Development & Execution

  • Client-facing consultancy experience

  • Data management

  • High level of numeracy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Science-based target setting

  • ESG Consultancy

  • Energy Compliance Experience (inc. ISO50001 & ESOS)

  • Carbon Disclosure Schemes (inc. CDP / TCFD)

  • Climate risk assessments

  • Supply Chain Engagement

  • Employee Behavior Change Programs

  • Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Assessments

  • Costing opportunities

  • Service design

This is an assistant level role, and the career path is an indication of the incremental steps which can be achieved within Energise subject to a role being available and the required skills being reached

Package

  • Salary of £ 45,000 – £ 55,000 (dependent on experience)

  • Pension Scheme (matched 5% contribution)

  • Unlimited holidays (minimum of 28 per year and 5 per quarter)

  • Bonus scheme (employee and company-performance related) of up to 5% of base salary
