Fifty-six exhibitors take part in successful Premium Sale – The Hamburg Reporter

The 2022 Fremont County Fair 4-H and FFA Premium Sale brought many generous youth supporters to the fairgrounds.

All total, 56 livestock exhibitors participated in the premium sale.

Money from the sale goes directly to the youth, and no animals change hands.

New this year was the option to add-on to the premium after the winning bid was secured. This proved to be a well-received options for businesses that wanted to support multiple exhibitors, or those with smaller budgets. About $75,000 was donated – twice as much as the previous year.

Elizabeth Covert (Riverside Rockets) asked that her premium money be donated to the Melvin Richardson family. Melvin was a Fremont County Deputy who died in the line of duty recently.

The final tally of her premium money to be donated was $2,150. Elizabeth is also getting funds for herself from those donors who asked to give something to each exhibitor.

Serving as volunteer auctioneers were Tom Van-Scyoc, Jon Stripe, Joe Nebel, George Crawford, Willie Holmes and Ernie Bloomer.

Manning the clerking station were Pam Nebel and Lynda Marshall.

Thank you to these generous donors. Through their support, 4-Hers have the opportunity to reinvest in their 4-H project areas.
