Cedar Rapids sustainable economy, transportation conference May 24-25

Alliant Energy, the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and the city of Cedar Rapids will host a two-day conference on sustainable economy and transportation topics later this month.
Participants will include representatives from business, organizations and communities from across Iowa and elsewhere, Alliant Energy said in a news release Tuesday.
“Attendees can participate in panel sessions, hear from and network with industry experts as well as interact with exhibitors to learn more about business sustainability,” the release said.
“Attendees will also have access to the electric vehicle display and Ride and Drive opportunity at Greene Square.”
The Sustainable Transportation Day event will be 7:45 am to 6 pm, Tuesday, May 24, and the Sustainable Economy Day will be 7:45 am to 5:15 pm, Wednesday, May 25.
Both will be held at the downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library, 450 Fifth Avenue SE.
